Our personal recommendation

Stay 1 extra night in Kazbegi

Most of our clients tell us this is the moment of the trip they wish had lasted longer. The Caucasus mountains at dawn, Mt Kazbek emerging through clouds, the sound of nothing but wind and prayer bells from Gergeti Trinity. One additional night gives you a slow morning hike, an unhurried afternoon, and a sunset over the peaks. Just mention it in your enquiry — we'll add it to your itinerary.

Frequently Asked

Georgia for Indian travellers — your questions, answered.

From visas to vegetarian food, currency to safety — everything an Indian family or couple typically wonders before booking Georgia.

Yes — Indian passport holders need a Georgian visa to enter. Most Indians apply for the convenient online E-Visa, which is processed in around 7 calendar days. The fee is approximately USD 20 (around ₹1,650). If you already hold a valid US, UK, Schengen, Canadian, Australian or Japanese visa, you can enter Georgia visa-free for up to 30 days within any 180-day period.
The Georgia E-Visa typically takes around 7 calendar days to process. Officially, processing begins from 5 working days, but DuVerify identity verification adds a couple of days, so we recommend applying at least 2–3 weeks before your travel date to avoid last-minute stress.
The E-Visa is valid for 120 days from the date of issue. Within those 120 days, you can stay in Georgia for up to 30 days. So practically — once you receive your visa, you have about 4 months to enter, and once you enter, you can spend up to 30 days inside the country.
Yes, Georgia is widely regarded as one of the safest countries in the Caucasus and ranks well on global safety indices. Tbilisi, Kazbegi, Kakheti and Batumi are tourist-friendly and welcoming. Indian travellers report comfortable experiences. As with any international trip, follow standard precautions — keep documents safe, use official taxis, and travel with valid health insurance (mandatory for Georgia from 1 January 2026).
Yes, this is a completely private trip. Every transfer, every tour, and every day is exclusively for you and your travelling companions. Your own vehicle, your own English-speaking driver-guide, your own pace. You're never sharing the experience with strangers.
Most Indian travellers prefer April–May (spring) and September–October (autumn). The weather is mild (15–26°C), wine harvest happens in autumn, and the photography is incredible. June is also wonderful — wildflowers in the Caucasus and slightly cooler than peak Indian summer. Skiing in Gudauri runs December to early April for those wanting snow.
Your 10D/9N package includes: 9 nights of accommodation (3-star, 4-star or 5-star — your choice), daily breakfast throughout, all private tours and transfers, a dedicated 4×4 vehicle for the Kazbegi mountain day, English-speaking driver-guide throughout, all sightseeing entries (cable cars, Prometheus Cave, Bakuriani Alpine Coaster, sulphur baths, etc.), all hotel taxes, and a 24×7 on-trip helpline. Flights, lunches, dinners, and personal expenses are not included.
For our 10D/9N grand tour itinerary covering 6 regions: ₹74,990 per person on 3-star accommodation, ₹86,450 per person on 4-star, and ₹97,990 per person on 5-star — all on twin sharing, excluding flights. Round-trip flights from India typically cost ₹25,000–₹50,000 depending on the season and city, so total trip cost (flights + package) usually starts around ₹1,00,000 per person.
Yes — IndiGo runs direct flights to Tbilisi from Mumbai and Delhi (around 5h 45m). Other Indian cities connect via Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Doha, or Istanbul, taking 11+ hours total. Direct flights are usually more expensive but save a full travel day.
The official currency is the Georgian Lari (GEL). 1 GEL ≈ ₹31 (as of 2026). Cards (Visa, Mastercard) are widely accepted in Tbilisi, Batumi and most hotels. ATMs are easy to find. We recommend carrying a small amount of cash for local markets, small cafés, and tipping.
Yes, very much so. Georgian cuisine has many vegetarian staples — khachapuri (cheese bread), badrijani (walnut aubergine), pkhali (vegetable pâtés), lobio (bean stew), and a beautiful range of fresh salads. Tbilisi also has Indian restaurants for those craving familiar food, and Jain meals can be arranged on request.
Yes — from 1 January 2026, valid travel and health insurance is mandatory for all visitors to Georgia. The minimum coverage required is GEL 30,000 (around ₹9.5 lakhs / €10,000). We can help arrange this for you, or you can purchase from any reputed Indian insurer. Border officials may check this as rigorously as your visa.
Georgian is the official language with its unique alphabet. Russian is widely understood. English is spoken in tourist areas — hotels, restaurants, tour operators. All our guides are fluent in English, so language is never a problem on a Miles & Memories trip.
Absolutely — and we strongly recommend it. The 10D/9N itinerary above is our most comprehensive grand tour, but every Miles & Memories trip is personally curated. Our top recommendation is to add 1 extra night in Kazbegi — most clients tell us this is where they wish they'd stayed longer to truly relax in the Caucasus. You can also add Mestia in Svaneti, extend Batumi for the Black Sea, do a helicopter ride to Mt Kazbek, or shorten if you have less time. Just tell us in the enquiry form and we'll tailor it.
Send us the enquiry form below and we'll respond within 4 business hours with a personalised quote. Once you confirm, you pay 50% to lock the booking, and the remaining 50% is due 14 days before departure. We accept bank transfers and UPI. Cancellation tiers: 25% if cancelled 60+ days out, 50% for 30–60 days, 75% for 7–29 days, 100% within 7 days.
